San Pedro Garza García, Mexico – Branding agency Anagrama has shown that designing the perfect retail environment is child’s play.

  • The studio has created a retail space that appeals to children and adults alike
  • Kindo’s flagship store is a geometric maze of wooden shapes and metal tubing

This interior for high-end childrenswear brand Kindo transports customers into a giant bead maze playscape, reminiscent of a game that has entertained young minds for generations.

The pastel coloured tubes, which snake their way around the store, are functional as well as aesthetic, used to hang clothing, while giant wooden beads display accessories in a space that ‘complements the experience for adults as well as children’, says Anagrama.

The Big Picture: Anagrama has captured a playful mood we have seen elsewhere. In stark contrast to the dystopian show in 2014, this year’s Milan Salone Internazionale del Mobile was full of bright and optimistic visions of the future, explored through playful design fiction.
