Black magic: Bewitching juice bar explores organic’s dark side

Used to the bright colours and preppy atmosphere usually associated with health food establishments, Owen+Alchemy’s brooding departure sets it apart as the bad boy of the organic food market.

The juice and whole foods bar’s interior, designed by branding agency Potluck Creative, is a living space that looks like an enchanted forest, complete with a living moss installation, hanging plants and bell jars full of ingredients reminiscent of an oddities museum.

A gnarled wooden table dominates the space, encouraging the type of convivial atmosphere that defines Owen+Alchemy’s collaborative approach in which a mix of chefs and herbalists are invited to curate their health-conscious menu.
