Hong Kong – Isono, a new tapas bar celebrating Basque cuisine, invites diners to delve into a contemporary take on Art Deco grandeur.
Located on Aberdeen Street, the restaurant and bar, designed by Hong Kong interior designers Joyce Wang, is divided into two sections, the main space and Vasco, a more formal dining area.
Dominated by a central horseshoe-shaped tapas bar clad in marble, Isono is an homage to the cinematic interiors of the Art Deco era.
Luxurious red leather seats are set on flooring made of outlying sections of reclaimed wooden planks and baked brick, while the Mediterranean-inspired menu is echoed in the colour palette, which combines olive green with dark timber hues and the burnished bronze of exposed metal pillars.
