Treasure trove: Design hub to feature a wealth of talent at ICFF

New York - Online magazine and curatorial consultancy Sight Unseen is launching a satellite design fair during the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). Sight Unseen OFFSITE will feature future-facing design and vibrant branding by Kokoro & Moi. It is the exhibition not to be missed during New York Design Week.

Sight Unseen founders Monica Khemsurov and Jill Singer, both former editors of ID magazine and creators of the former satellite Noho Design District, are launching a larger and more ambitious design fair this year in a new location. ‘We set up Noho Design District to add an extra dimension with a more local and DIY focus to the design week in New York,’ Khemsurov tells LS:N Global. ‘Sight Unseen OFFSITE is a like-minded environment that is experimental in approach and brings a different voice to ICFF, while also giving emerging designers a platform.’

An impressive line-up of new furniture and product design will be on show, including work by some LS:N Global favourites from last year, including Ladies & Gentleman Studio as well as new talent such as tactile terracotta furniture by Chris Wolston and thoughtful domestic objects in rich combinations of materials by Knauf and Brown.

Sight Unseen OFFSITE will be sited on two floors of a large Soho landmark building, a former bank and empty retail space. The fair will also include a café and pop-up store to provide a creative space in which to relax during the week.
