Milan – As part of the fourth collection of her Assemblage furniture series, British designer Faye Toogood is presenting Roly-Poly, a beautifully bulbous and tactile collection of furniture made from milky coloured raw fibreglass.

‘This iteration of the collection reflects my own experience of pregnancy and the changes the female body goes through,’ Toogood tells LS:N Global. ‘We wanted to evoke the soft curves, roundness and gentle forms of the figure, but also to capture a sense of playfulness and the soft plumpness associated with children’s playthings.’

Evocative of LS:N Global’s Emotional Functionality design direction, the soft silhouettes are spherical, feminine and rounded. Comprising chairs, tables and daybeds, the collection has a nude warm, off-white palette that highlights the raw sculptural qualities of the material.
