Aster & Bay is a small-batch beauty company formed by husband and wife duo Erin and Glen Hammond, who create all-natural oils and serums by hand from raw and unprocessed ingredients. Using wild and organic ingredients such as dandelion root and essential oils, the company takes an apothecary-like approach to beauty, hand-blending ingredients to produce balanced, natural solutions to skin problems, much like the small-batch brands featured in our Refined Remedy design direction.

‘Aster & Bay is committed to creating raw, unprocessed, hand-blended elixirs that rejuvenate from the outside in,’ says the duo. ‘We believe in the healing energy found in nature, in the ritual of self-care, and in the mind-body connection possible through botanical scent, [and we] are dedicated to creating unique mixtures that revitalise and beautify without the use of harmful chemicals or preservatives.’

Aster & Bay is part of a new trend we call Raw Beauty, in which beauty lines go beyond natural and organic to using raw ingredients that boast detoxification properties, often borrowing the language of health foods and translating it to skincare.
