Hamburg, Germany – A new perfume bottle takes its aesthetic cue from rough luxury, with a deliberately unglamorous new design.
The new perfume bottle range by designer Alexa Lixfeld uses unfinished, solid blocks of concrete for its bottle tops. Challenging the conventionally ostentatious presentation of perfume packaging, the three scent bottles use concrete in a series of monochromatic greyscale colours. They follow the rough-and-ready approach to luxury design we have seen since the beginning of the economic downturn.
