Face off: Google+ hack draws people together

11.06.2012 Creativity : Draw : Anarchy

US – Web developers Aaron Meyers and OK Focus have created a Google+ Hangout hack enabling users to draw pictures using facial recognition.

Draw With Your Face is part of the Google+ Hangouts Hackathon, for which Google has asked contributors to experiment with their recently launched Hangouts platform.

OK Focus’s contribution was to create a game similar to the popular Draw Something iPhone app. Players linked via video stream draw objects using their facial expressions for the other person to guess. Up to nine players can be included in each hangout, and whoever guesses what the player is drawing wins points.

A new generation of creatives is redefining the way we use, and interact with, the internet. OK Focus is also responsible for the Tug of Store site for Svpply, and is gaining recognition for its irreverent, anarchic web design.
