Shed load of space: Plane home has many uses

Brittany, France – The Oyster Farm Hangar by French architects Raum provides a temporary dwelling and workspace for an oyster farmer.

The flexible accommodation space is designed for multiple configurations and consists of two main areas. The office and lounge section includes a kitchen, dining room and seating area. Clad in translucent plastic behind wooden slats, the separate hangar space requires minimal artificial light. A single wooden heater warms the whole structure.

Sliding glass doors border a patio space between the two areas, acting as a light well and providing views of the surrounding scenery. Opening the large doors integrates both spaces visually and physically.
