Fukuoka – Japanese artist Akira Nakayasu has created an installation inspired by grass blowing in the wind.
The robotic ‘Plant’ installation, part of Ars Electronica 2010, has 169 artificial leaves. Each leaf is independently controlled and responds to hand movements. The sound also changes.
This is a great example of how retail space can be transformed. Imagine if shoppers walked past a wall that reacted to their movements.
