London – Sports brand Reebok has introduced a new exercise phone app to promote the European launch of its ZigTech running shoes.

Developed by Swedish advertising agency Forsman & Bodenfors, The Promise Keeper lets joggers programme in the time that they plan to go for a run, and then reminds them when the time approaches. When the person presses ‘start’, the app uses GPS to record the progress of the run, including distance and time.

When the run is completed, The Promise Keeper posts the time and distance on Facebook for friends to admire. It also broadcasts if the runner did not live up to their promise.
