Løgten, Denmark – C. F. Møller Architects and Christian Carlsen Arkitektfirma have converted an abandoned industrial silo in Løgten, Denmark into 21 homes.
The former grey structure has been transformed into a colourful residential building with balconies. The silo contains staircases and lifts, and provides the base of a common roof terrace. The architects describe the construction as ‘a bit like Lego bricks’ that are built onto a steel structure.
As more people move to the cities, buildings need to be re-appropriated for this reason. For more on this shift, read our report on the Turbulent Teens.
