Las Vegas – French wellness technology company Withings unveiled its Smart Baby Scale at International CES this week.
The device works in a similar way to previous Withings smart scales. The Smart Baby Scale incorporates a curved platform to weigh a baby, and can be used to track the ratio between breast feeding and baby weight. When a baby outgrows the scales, the curved platform can be detached, and the scales can be used to weigh a toddler.
‘The toddlers that we tested this device on were very proud of being able to use it, as it is likely to be the first device that they can use,’ says Alexis Arquilliere, product manager at Withings. ‘By the time they are five or six years old, they have a sense of how they are developing.’
