The projector was once the bane of many a travelling lecturer and management consultant, but a new device manufactured by Australian company Mint Wireless aims to improve the situation dramatically.
The V10, which measures 12.5 × 5.5 × 2.3cm, will be the smallest projector on the market when it is released in September 2008. It can project images from a variety of external devices, and create an image of about 50in in size from almost two metres away. There’s even 1GB of internal storage for videos and pictures. Presentations need no longer be confined to stuffy theatres and meeting rooms; instead, they can take place in new ‘third spaces’ such as outdoor locations, as long as there is a wall or similar surface on which to project images – a tool perfect for the Bleisure worker.
