Abi joined The Future Laboratory in late 2019 and writes across LS:N Global, including the daily Need to Know section. She has a background in fashion and continues to track industry shifts relating to sustainability and digital innovation. As well as leading the Retail and Fashion sectors, she also contributes regularly to the Travel and Hospitality vertical.

In addition to her own research and writing, she also commissions articles for LS:N Global’s Opinions section, ensuring the platform features a diverse range of voices and perspectives.

Abi has previously written for fashion publications including PYLOT, Address Journal, The Fashion Studies Journal and the Bloomsbury Fashion Photography Archive. Since joining The Future Laboratory, she has shared her forecasting experiences with students at London College of Fashion (UAL) and Norwich University of the Arts.

What drew you to the world of trends and foresight?

I came across the trend forecasting industry while studying at university, and quickly became fascinated by the discipline. I’ve always had a natural curiosity to learn about different cultures and communities, so continue to enjoy tracking the macro forces that will inform the future of the planet, societies and businesses.
