Wandering round Borough Market one sunny day in June 2007, Sam Bompas, now 26, and his old school friend, Harry Parr, now 27, decided they’d like to run a stall at the old market for the summer. Since Parr was a student at the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London (UCL) and term time was over, he had time on his hands, while Bompas, who was working in financial marketing, liked the idea of working for himself.
