California – The Lighthouse interactive assistant uses deep learning to distinguish between different members of the household.
The smart device combines deep learning, pattern and object recognition and 3D sensing technology, affording it unmatched levels of awareness in the home. This next iteration of the home assistant device can identify and differentiate between actions, enabling users to ask questions such as ‘What did my kids do while I was out today?’
Lighthouse can also distinguish between known and unknown faces, alerting the owner if there is any unusual activity. The users can challenge the intruder by sounding a siren, speaking to them through the device or calling the police, all from within the app.
Concerns over privacy and security have been addressed through the use of tamper-proof software, encrypted logins and passwords, and closed Bluetooth connections.
