New York – Design consultancy Aruliden and Google have created the Jamboard, a 21st-century alternative to Post-its and whiteboards.
- The Jamboard is designed to facilitate collaboration and integrates with Google tools including Google Drive, Docs and Accounts
- The 4K, 55-inch, Android-powered interactive display is connected to the cloud, enabling users to share content and ideas with colleagues who are working remotely
The Jamboard is an innovation tool designed with needs of the connected and collaborative workplace in mind. The 4K, 55-inch interactive display enables users to drag and drop images from the internet, write and draw on the screen, and use an eraser to physically remove the digital content from the screen.
These features are designed to feel familiar to people who are used to working with traditional whiteboards. The Jamboard is marketed as a tool that enables colleagues from around the world to connect to a specific ‘jam’, or Jamboard session and edit the interactive mood board in real time through their tablet or smartphone.
‘The Jamboard will influence the way we work in collaborative worskspaces and remote workspaces,’ Aruliden co-founders Rinat Aruch and Johan Linden tell LS:N Global. ‘It allows for multiple teams globally to tap into a real-time visual collaboration.’
