The auto industry is facing tough times again, especially in Europe. Sales fell in almost all mainstream European car markets in September – except surprisingly in the UK – but the Paris Motorshow closed last Sunday with visitor numbers only slightly down on its previous outing two years ago: 1,231,417 people attended versus 1,263,467 in 2010 (a reduction of 32,050), confirming the French event is still the largest publicly attended car show in the world.
